Introduction and orientation
Emergency content for screens in a Location, its activation and manual deactivation.
What Emergency changes
Emergency gives an emergency visual priority over normal campaigns and applications in the selected Location. It can display a missing-person notice or important safety information. A device changes its display after receiving and processing the configuration and required content.
Steps and settings
A disconnected device cannot receive a new activation or deactivation until its connection is restored. It may therefore continue showing the previously delivered state. Do not assume that every screen switches simultaneously or within a guaranteed delivery time.
Prepare and activate the emergency visual
- Open the required Location and its Emergency section. Check that you have selected the right location.
- Use a supplied system visual, or click + and choose your own image from the media library; upload a new file to the library first. For example, the image can contain a missing person’s photograph and instructions for the public.
- Select the visual and confirm activation. You need permission to activate an emergency; adding custom images requires separate permission.
- Check device connectivity and the actual display. Once the device receives the configuration and loads the visual, only the emergency visual is shown: normal campaigns and apps are hidden, and touching the screen cannot open the menu.
Recognising the active state
- Location and device lists: affected entries are highlighted in red.
- Location details: the active-emergency notice includes a Deactivate button.
- Device details: Deactivate in location opens the relevant location, where the emergency is ended.
- After deactivation: once the change arrives, normal operation resumes according to the settings and published content that are currently valid.
