Published content

Introduction and orientation

Check published campaigns and applications, their order and the playlist.

Steps and settings

What is published on the device

The Published campaigns and Published applications tabs show the content assigned to the specific device. At device level, administrators can also inspect the assembled campaign playlist and playback schedule.

The published content options depend on the device’s enabled layers. If the Application Layer is disabled, the device does not offer the Published applications tab.

Published campaigns

The Published campaigns tab lets you check campaigns assigned to the device and open the detail view of individual content. Export the playlist to check the generated playback schedule.

To check the generated playback schedule, see Check a device playlist →.

Published applications

The Published applications tab lets you check applications published on the device and open their detail views. If you cannot see this tab, check the Application Layer setting.

Published content order

Both tabs also allow you to change the order of published campaigns and applications. This lets the administrator control the order of published content wherever that order is used in the device interface or content composition.

Checking delivery of new content

  1. Open the detail view of the specific device.
  2. In Published campaigns or Published applications, verify that the required content is actually assigned to the device.
  3. Use Monitoring to confirm that the device is online.
  4. Allow the device a short time for automatic synchronisation. A subtle activity indicator may appear at the bottom of the screen while content is downloading.
  5. For a service check, use the appropriate command: Campaign synchronization or Application synchronization.
  6. Verify the result using the remote screen view or directly on the screen.
